The overall goal of our Kids Classes is to develop climbing skills, abilities, and confidence in order to advance toward our competitive Youth Climbing Team program.

Our Kids classes are six weeks in length (with one makeup class) and follow a structured curriculum where climbers are assessed and accumulate points in five different areas: Knowledge, Technique, Physical, Rope, Boulder

Our Level 3 class is the last step prior to trying out for our Youth Climbing Team. At the conclusion of the session, the instructor will recommend a team tryout, repeat the Level 3 class again, or switch to private lessons.

In order to qualify for a Level 3 class, climbers must:

• - Complete a Level 2 class
• - Accumulate enough total points in that Level 2 session
• - Demonstrate an interest in furthering their skills

This entry level class is great for all levels of climbers without belaying experience. Includes all necessary equipment and will cover:

• Climbing Safety & Verbal Commands
• Rope and Harness Safety
• Overview of Belay Devices including Gri Gri's and ATC's

The Intermediate Team is comprised of individuals who have limited climbing experience and are interested in taking climbing to the next level.  They need to have basic knowledge of top roping and bouldering, as well as have the ability to effectively use their feet to position their body while climbing.  Try Outs are required and free. Our rock climbing camp is great for both beginners and advanced climbers. Harnesses and equipment are provided for all participants.

Participants are asked to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing - we’ll take care of the rest!

The Intermediate Team is comprised of individuals who have limited climbing experience and are interested in taking climbing to the next level.  They need to have basic knowledge of top roping and bouldering, as well as have the ability to effectively use their feet to position their body while climbing.  Try Outs are required and free. They are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30. Call us at 973-701-7625 to schedule.
