Team Gravity Vault Tryout FAQs
What is Team Gravity Vault?
- Team Gravity Vault is a youth rock climbing team with gym membership options varying from 1-3 practices per week depending on team level. Team members will be trained to compete in USA Climbing Youth Competitions but are not required to compete. Competition season runs from October - July.
How much experience does a climber need to try out?
- For our Intermediate team, the minimum requirements are being able to climb most V1s and 5.9s. However, you can still try out and we can offer a direction in which to grow your skill set if you do not qualify for our youth team just yet!
What to bring or wear?
- Climbers should wear comfortable athletic attire. The gym can provide a harness, climbing shoes, and chalk for the tryout as needed.
How long is the tryout?
- The team tryout takes approximately 30-60 minutes from the scheduled start time.
Does my tryout include a day pass?
- Climbers are encouraged to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to the tryout to get checked in and warm up. Those looking to extend their climbing prior to or after the tryout are welcome to purchase a day pass.
