Our Basic Track program is perfect for climbers who have some experience climbing and want to take it to the next level!

Climbers will go through a curriculum designed to have them learn more about climbing through our expert coaching and get as much experience on the wall as possible. Basic Track climbers are not required to compete in any competitions, but are encouraged to eventually "Graduate" to our recreational & competitive track programs when they are ready to take the sport of rock climbing more seriously.

What is Team Gravity Vault?

Team Gravity Vault is a recreational and competitive youth rock climbing team for kids ages 5-19. Team membership options vary from 1-3 practices per week to best accommodate you & your child’s schedule. Team members will be trained to compete in USA Climbing Youth Competitions but are not required to compete. Competitions range from October - April and are chosen by each family based on the date and location that works best for them!

Team Tryout Week Things To Know

• Team Tryout Week is from February 24th to March 1st for kids ages 5-19.
• New team members who sign up during Team Tryout Week will pay a prorated fee for the remainder of the month, and the first full payment is due the first of the following month
• Competitive climbing experience is not required
• Climbing equipment will be provided for the tryout

Benefits of signing up for Team Gravity Vault during Team Tryout Week

• $50 retail credit to our pro-shop
  • Must sign-up before 8 pm on Saturday, March 1st to be eligible!
  • This retail credit can be used to help get your child started with the equipment they will need to train (harness, shoes, chalk bag, chalk).

Team Gravity Vault FAQs

• What time is team practice?
  • Competitive and Recreational Tuesday 6:00 pm-8:00 pm
  • Competitive and Recreational Thursday 6:00 pm -8:00 pm
  • Competitive and Recreational Saturday 11:30 am-1:30 pm
  • Basic Track Team Practice 9:00 am-11:00 am
• What practices can my child come to?
  • Most of our team members start for our basic track team and progress from there.  
  • Our coaches may recommend going straight to our Competitive or Recreational teams.
    • Competitive and Recreational team members can choose a membership for 1, 2, or 3 practices a week and can attend any of the 3 practices each week.  
    • Practices are recorded on a week-by-week basis and do not roll over.
• Competitions
  • Team Gravity Vault competes in USA Climbing competitions.
  • Competition season runs from Fall through early Spring
  • USA Climbing publishes a new competition schedule each year. You may attend any competition, but the coaches may recommend your climber attends specific ones
  • Competitions are optional but we always encourage our climbers to try one each season, preferably our at home competition.

Team Tryout FAQs

• What to wear?
  • Children should wear comfortable workout clothes.  The gym will provide a harness and climbing shoes for the tryout.
• How long is the tryout?
  • The team tryout takes approximately 15-30 minutes.
• What to bring?
  • A water bottle
• Who will the tryout be with?
  • One of our team coaches will be facilitating the tryout session
• What is the purpose of a team tryout?
  • The team tryout allows our coaching team to understand your child’s climbing level and recommend a climbing program that best fits your child.
• Outcomes of a team tryout
  • After your child’s team tryout, our coach will recommend a team or kid’s class that aligns best with your child’s interests and abilities.

At The Gravity Vault, we know that planning a birthday party can be stressful. That’s why we’ve developed two convenient party packages to fit your needs. Each child's birthday party lasts two hours and includes 90 minutes of climbing and games, followed by 30 minutes in our private birthday party room. With our packages, you can pick which option works best for your family!

Package 1 Birthday Party

$399 for the first 10 climbers - $39 for each additional climber

Our simplest party package provides an exciting climbing experience that’s perfect for kids who love a challenge. Kids will have the opportunity to climb and explore different routes, while our trained staff ensures safety and fun. The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing on our top rope climbing walls
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in our private birthday party room for cake, presents, and more
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided

What to expect - Gravity Vault staff members will greet you and your guests at the front desk! Our team will verify all waivers are on file and then gear up your guests. Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault kick-off on our Designated Kids Climbing Wall - which features fun climbing holds with easy routes for kids of all ages! If kids are interested they can climb on our top rope climbing walls outside of the designated kids area or they can stay on the kids wall for the full 90 minutes - the kids get to choose! After the climbing is underway instructors incorporate games and fun activities and challenges to add to the excitement. After the 90 minutes of climbing is complete guests head into one of our private Birthday Party Rooms to celebrate. For Package 1 our staff will set up tables and chairs for your guests - paper goods and utensils can be provided at an additional charge.

For parents looking for an easy planning experience, Package 2 is the way to go! We’ve designed this option with your convenience in mind, offering everything you need for a seamless birthday party experience. All you have to bring is the cake and your child - it's that easy!

The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing and fun climbing games
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in a private birthday party room with party supplies (plates, cups, etc.)
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided
• PLUS
• 2 Slices of Pizza per Climber
• Drinks
• Decorations
• Paper Products
• Utensils
• Candles/Lighters/Serving Utensils for cake
• All Setup and Cleanup

Our Recreational & Competitive Track climbing teams have multiple practice options per week for children to both train to become stronger climbers & become part of the Gravity Vault climbing community. Under the careful eye of our USA Climbing certified coaches, kids will be given engaging drills structured to push & challenge them, making them become stronger climbers.

Our training schedule is built to be incredibly flexible. Families may pick however many practices a week they would receive training for, and allows you to switch which practices the climber attends within that week with no additional fees!

Our Recreational Track program has climbers focus on improving & getting stronger, but does not require participation in the USA Climbing circuit.

Our Competitive Track program is for climbers who want to test their mettle against all the other climbers in the USA Climbing circuit. Climbers in our competitive track program have achieved multiple regional, divisional & even national championship level performances!

Our Recreational & Competitive Track climbing teams have multiple practice options per week for children to both train to become stronger climbers & become part of the Gravity Vault climbing community. Under the careful eye of our USA Climbing certified coaches, kids will be given engaging drills structured to push & challenge them, making them become stronger climbers.

Our training schedule is built to be incredibly flexible. Families may pick however many practices a week they would receive training for, and allows you to switch which practices the climber attends within that week with no additional fees!

Our Recreational Track program has climbers focus on improving & getting stronger, but does not require participation in the USA Climbing circuit.

Our Competitive Track program is for climbers who want to test their mettle against all the other climbers in the USA Climbing circuit. Climbers in our competitive track program have achieved multiple regional, divisional & even national championship level performances!

Our Basic Track program is perfect for climbers who have some experience climbing and want to take it to the next level!

Climbers will go through a curriculum designed to have them learn more about climbing through our expert coaching and get as much experience on the wall as possible. Basic Track climbers are not required to compete in any competitions, but are encouraged to eventually "Graduate" to our recreational & competitive track programs when they are ready to take the sport of rock climbing more seriously.

Our simplest party package provides an exciting climbing experience that’s perfect for kids who love a challenge. Kids will have the opportunity to climb and explore different routes, while our trained staff ensures safety and fun. The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing on our top rope climbing walls
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in our private birthday party room for cake, presents, and more
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided

What to expect - Gravity Vault staff members will greet you and your guests at the front desk! Our team will verify all waivers are on file and then gear up your guests. Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault kick-off on our Designated Kids Climbing Wall - which features fun climbing holds with easy routes for kids of all ages! If kids are interested they can climb on our top rope climbing walls outside of the designated kids area or they can stay on the kids wall for the full 90 minutes - the kids get to choose! After the climbing is underway instructors incorporate games and fun activities and challenges to add to the excitement. After the 90 minutes of climbing is complete guests head into one of our private Birthday Party Rooms to celebrate. For Package 1 our staff will set up tables and chairs for your guests - paper goods and utensils can be provided at an additional charge.

Our Recreational & Competitive Track climbing teams have multiple practice options per week for children to both train to become stronger climbers & become part of the Gravity Vault climbing community. Under the careful eye of our USA Climbing certified coaches, kids will be given engaging drills structured to push & challenge them, making them become stronger climbers.

Our training schedule is built to be incredibly flexible. Families may pick however many practices a week they would receive training for, and allows you to switch which practices the climber attends within that week with no additional fees!

Our Recreational Track program has climbers focus on improving & getting stronger, but does not require participation in the USA Climbing circuit.

Our Basic Track program is perfect for climbers who have some experience climbing and want to take it to the next level!

Climbers will go through a curriculum designed to have them learn more about climbing through our expert coaching and get as much experience on the wall as possible. Basic Track climbers are not required to compete in any competitions, but are encouraged to eventually "Graduate" to our recreational & competitive track programs when they are ready to take the sport of rock climbing more seriously.

Each child's birthday party lasts two hours and includes 90 minutes of climbing and games, followed by 30 minutes in our private birthday party room. Package 1 Birthday Party

$399 for the first 10 climbers - $39 for each additional climber

Our simplest party package provides an exciting climbing experience that’s perfect for kids who love a challenge. Kids will have the opportunity to climb and explore different routes, while our trained staff ensures safety and fun. The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing on our top rope climbing walls
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in our private birthday party room for cake, presents, and more
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided

What to expect - Gravity Vault staff members will greet you and your guests at the front desk! Our team will verify all waivers are on file and then gear up your guests. Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault kick-off on our Designated Kids Climbing Wall - which features fun climbing holds with easy routes for kids of all ages! If kids are interested they can climb on our top rope climbing walls outside of the designated kids area or they can stay on the kids wall for the full 90 minutes - the kids get to choose! After the climbing is underway instructors incorporate games and fun activities and challenges to add to the excitement. After the 90 minutes of climbing is complete guests head into one of our private Birthday Party Rooms to celebrate. For Package 1 our staff will set up tables and chairs for your guests - paper goods and utensils can be provided at an additional charge.

Our Recreational & Competitive Track climbing teams have multiple practice options per week for children to both train to become stronger climbers & become part of the Gravity Vault climbing community. Under the careful eye of our USA Climbing certified coaches, kids will be given engaging drills structured to push & challenge them, making them become stronger climbers.

Our training schedule is built to be incredibly flexible. Families may pick however many practices a week they would receive training for, and allows you to switch which practices the climber attends within that week with no additional fees!

Our Recreational Track program has climbers focus on improving & getting stronger, but does not require participation in the USA Climbing circuit.

Our Competitive Track program is for climbers who want to test their mettle against all the other climbers in the USA Climbing circuit. Climbers in our competitive track program have achieved multiple regional, divisional & even national championship level performances!

Climbers will go through a curriculum designed to have them learn more about climbing through our expert coaching and get as much experience on the wall as possible. Basic Track climbers are not required to compete in any competitions, but are encouraged to eventually "Graduate" to our recreational & competitive track programs when they are ready to take the sport of rock climbing more seriously.

Join us for the BEST KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES ON LONG ISLAND! Kids love the rock climbing and games and parents love the price and how easy it is to book!

At The Gravity Vault, we know that planning a birthday party can be stressful. That’s why we’ve developed two convenient party packages to fit your needs. Each child's birthday party lasts two hours and includes 90 minutes of climbing and games, followed by 30 minutes in our private birthday party room. With our packages, you can pick which option works best for your family!

Package 1 Birthday Party

$399 for the first 10 climbers - $39 for each additional climber

Our simplest party package provides an exciting climbing experience that’s perfect for kids who love a challenge. Kids will have the opportunity to climb and explore different routes, while our trained staff ensures safety and fun. The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing on our top rope climbing walls
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in our private birthday party room for cake, presents, and more
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided

What to expect - Gravity Vault staff members will greet you and your guests at the front desk! Our team will verify all waivers are on file and then gear up your guests. Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault kick-off on our Designated Kids Climbing Wall - which features fun climbing holds with easy routes for kids of all ages! If kids are interested they can climb on our top rope climbing walls outside of the designated kids area or they can stay on the kids wall for the full 90 minutes - the kids get to choose! After the climbing is underway instructors incorporate games and fun activities and challenges to add to the excitement. After the 90 minutes of climbing is complete guests head into one of our private Birthday Party Rooms to celebrate. For Package 1 our staff will set up tables and chairs for your guests - paper goods and utensils can be provided at an additional charge.

Join us for the BEST KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES ON LONG ISLAND! Kids love the rock climbing and games and parents love the price and how easy it is to book!

At The Gravity Vault, we know that planning a birthday party can be stressful. That’s why we’ve developed two convenient party packages to fit your needs. Each child's birthday party lasts two hours and includes 90 minutes of climbing and games, followed by 30 minutes in our private birthday party room. With our packages, you can pick which option works best for your family!

Package 1 Birthday Party

$399 for the first 10 climbers - $39 for each additional climber

Our simplest party package provides an exciting climbing experience that’s perfect for kids who love a challenge. Kids will have the opportunity to climb and explore different routes, while our trained staff ensures safety and fun. The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing on our top rope climbing walls
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in our private birthday party room for cake, presents, and more
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided

What to expect - Gravity Vault staff members will greet you and your guests at the front desk! Our team will verify all waivers are on file and then gear up your guests. Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault kick-off on our Designated Kids Climbing Wall - which features fun climbing holds with easy routes for kids of all ages! If kids are interested they can climb on our top rope climbing walls outside of the designated kids area or they can stay on the kids wall for the full 90 minutes - the kids get to choose! After the climbing is underway instructors incorporate games and fun activities and challenges to add to the excitement. After the 90 minutes of climbing is complete guests head into one of our private Birthday Party Rooms to celebrate. For Package 1 our staff will set up tables and chairs for your guests - paper goods and utensils can be provided at an additional charge.

For parents looking for an easy planning experience, Package 2 is the way to go! We’ve designed this option with your convenience in mind, offering everything you need for a seamless birthday party experience. All you have to bring is the cake and your child - it's that easy!

Our Recreational & Competitive Track climbing teams have multiple practice options per week for children to both train to become stronger climbers & become part of the Gravity Vault climbing community. Under the careful eye of our USA Climbing certified coaches, kids will be given engaging drills structured to push & challenge them, making them become stronger climbers.

Our training schedule is built to be incredibly flexible. Families may pick however many practices a week they would receive training for, and allows you to switch which practices the climber attends within that week with no additional fees!

Our Recreational Track program has climbers focus on improving & getting stronger, but does not require participation in the USA Climbing circuit.

Our Competitive Track program is for climbers who want to test their mettle against all the other climbers in the USA Climbing circuit. Climbers in our competitive track program have achieved multiple regional, divisional & even national championship level performances!

If you have never led before, or it's been a while since you have, this class is for you! In our lead climbing class you will learn all the fundamentals of lead climbing and belaying for indoor sport climbing. Belay techniques covered include: feeding rope while climbing, feeding rope while clipping, rope management, dynamic belay techniques with a Petzl Gri Gri device. The lead climbing portion covers topics such as: risk management, proper movement around the rope while climbing, clipping techniques. Pre-Requisites: Must be Top Rope Belay Certified and capable of climbing 5.8 consistently.

Our Basic Track program is perfect for climbers who have some experience climbing and want to take it to the next level!

Climbers will go through a curriculum designed to have them learn more about climbing through our expert coaching and get as much experience on the wall as possible. Basic Track climbers are not required to compete in any competitions, but are encouraged to eventually "Graduate" to our recreational & competitive track programs when they are ready to take the sport of rock climbing more seriously.

Kids Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault

Join us for the BEST KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES ON LONG ISLAND! Kids love the rock climbing and games and parents love the price and how easy it is to book!

At The Gravity Vault, we know that planning a birthday party can be stressful. That’s why we’ve developed two convenient party packages to fit your needs. Each child's birthday party lasts two hours and includes 90 minutes of climbing and games, followed by 30 minutes in our private birthday party room. With our packages, you can pick which option works best for your family!

Package 1 Birthday Party

$399 for the first 10 climbers - $39 for each additional climber

Our simplest party package provides an exciting climbing experience that’s perfect for kids who love a challenge. Kids will have the opportunity to climb and explore different routes, while our trained staff ensures safety and fun. The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing on our top rope climbing walls
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in our private birthday party room for cake, presents, and more
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided

What to expect - Gravity Vault staff members will greet you and your guests at the front desk! Our team will verify all waivers are on file and then gear up your guests. Birthday Parties at The Gravity Vault kick-off on our Designated Kids Climbing Wall - which features fun climbing holds with easy routes for kids of all ages! If kids are interested they can climb on our top rope climbing walls outside of the designated kids area or they can stay on the kids wall for the full 90 minutes - the kids get to choose! After the climbing is underway instructors incorporate games and fun activities and challenges to add to the excitement. After the 90 minutes of climbing is complete guests head into one of our private Birthday Party Rooms to celebrate. For Package 1 our staff will set up tables and chairs for your guests - paper goods and utensils can be provided at an additional charge.

Package 2 Birthday Party

Designed with Parents in Mind

$479 for the first 10 climbers - $48 for each additional climber

For parents looking for an easy planning experience, Package 2 is the way to go! We’ve designed this option with your convenience in mind, offering everything you need for a seamless birthday party experience. All you have to bring is the cake and your child - it's that easy!

The package includes:

• 90 minutes of rock climbing and fun climbing games
• Engaging games and activities led by our friendly and experienced staff
• 30 minutes in a private birthday party room with party supplies (plates, cups, etc.)
• Birthday T-Shirt for the Birthday Child
• All necessary rental equipment is provided
• PLUS
• 2 Slices of Pizza per Climber
• Drinks
• Decorations
• Paper Products
• Utensils
• Candles/Lighters/Serving Utensils for cake
• All Setup and Cleanup
