Job Description:

Assistant Gym Manager

The Gravity Vault management team is looking for an outgoing and energetic individual with a strong work ethic to join our team as an Assistant Manager. As an integral part of the management team, the Assistant Manager will work closely with the Manager to ensure that the gym is clean, runs smoothly, and goals are being met. Our Belayers are the staff on the climbing floor and are the embodiment of The Gravity Vault mission statement. Job Summary

Rock Climbing Franchising is now seeking a Director of Franchise Operations to join our corporate team. The Director of Franchise Operations acts as the lead consultant for The Gravity Vault franchise owners to implement operational strategies and improve business performance and profitability. The Director of Franchise Operations will be the liaison for the franchisee from the initial signing of a franchise agreement  to the opening of their facility, including the facility's ongoing operations. They will then be the main point of contact for each franchisee, working on a daily basis with all franchise owners and operators as the main corporate representative.  

Job Responsibilities

Improve Territory Operations

  • The focal point of the position is on improving KPIs (key performance indicators) of individual franchise locations, inclusive adherence to brand standards and quality control.
  • Support and coach franchisees to improve operations metrics as they relate to overall climber satisfaction and results.
  • Conduct regular site visits; communicate operational and compliance guidance and education during site visits.
  • Document adherence to company compliance standards, improvements made, areas of opportunity and direction on how to improve.
  • Problem-solve root causes of operational opportunities across franchise sites and implement change via business reviews, action plans, and other tactics.
  • Responsible for protecting and enforcing brand standards through routinely advising The Gravity Vault leadership teams on areas of opportunity and strategies for maintaining excellence.
  • Responsible for ensuring integrity in operational results by reporting territory metrics as true reflections of performance.

Routesetting is a crucial task for Gravity Vault Marin since routesetters are responsible for creating and maintaining the quality and diversity of climbs that The Gravity Vault seeks in each of its facilities. We are looking for creative individuals that possess an above average understanding of climbing movement so that they can create products that reflect the quality, fluidity, consistency, and enjoyability that our customers expect on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Setting part time 1-3 days per week depending on the demand of the facility
  • Forerunning and analyzing the climbs that have been set
  • Ensuring that all climbs meet the facility's quality and safety standards
  • Adhering to facility policies and protocols for work at height

  • Stripping, washing, and sorting holds

Job Description:

As a Team Coach for The Gravity Vault you will facilitate the training for our Youth Climbing Teams.  In the Team Coach role you will have the opportunity to work with other coaching staff to develop and execute training regimens, practice schedules, technique lessons and more. You will mentor the kids as they progress through our program and help them to achieve their climbing goals. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise climbers at practices.
  • Motivate the kids and empower them to reach new heights
  • Maintain an encouraging, yet competitive environment which upholds The Gravity Vault's Mission Statement
  • Attend Competitions with the team

Route Setter

The Route Setters are some of the most important contributors at The Gravity Vault. Route Setters are responsible for all of the climbing routes and problems in our facilities. We look for creative individuals who love climbing and are experienced setters. 

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Setting Routes and Problems
  • Set up and cleanup of Setting Safety Zones
  • Fore Running your Routes/Problems
Requirements:
  • Ability to Climb a 5.13+ and V8+
  • Prior Experience Route Setting
  • Ability to set creative Routes
  • Competition Setting experience a strong plus
Yoga Instructor
Job Category: Gym Staff
Job Description:

Instructors will lead groups both verbally and physically through varying styles and levels of yoga classes. In addition to administrative work required for class, sourcing and or organizing equipment, offering training adjustments and recommendations may be required.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Teaching safe, effective exercises to a variety of student demographics
  • Leading classes according to the schedule provided
  • Maintaining the yoga room and equipment

Requirements:

  • Passionate about yoga and general fitness
  • Extensive climbing experience is not required, but tailoring classes for the climbing needs of students may be required
  • RYT-200, NCCA Yoga Certification or comparable certification
  • Liability insurance policy
  • First Aid, CPR/AED certicifation
  • At least 1-2 years of expereince leading yoga classes

  • Using our POS system to check in customers and answer any questions they may have in person or over the phone.
  • Assisting customers with membership and retail sales.
  • Coordinating private sessions, youth and adult classes as well as parties.
  • Ensuring safety of both staff and customers within the facility.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the facility by assisting with opening and closing cleaning procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Flexible availability; evening and weekend availability strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Bouldering experience is a plus but not required. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
