Yoga Instructor

Job Description:

Instructors will lead groups both verbally and physically through varying styles and levels of yoga classes. In addition to administrative work required for class, sourcing and or organizing equipment, offering training adjustments and recommendations may be required.

Job responsibilities include:

Our Belayers are the staff on the climbing floor and are the embodiment of The Gravity Vault mission statement. We are looking to hire an attentive Cleaner/Janitor to join our team. In this position, you will be required to maintain the cleanliness of the general use areas of the facility. You should be able to complete assigned tasks identified on a checklist within the stipulated timeframes, with minimal supervision.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Clean, stock and supply designed facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc.)

As a Shift Leader for Gravity Vault Marin, you will facilitate the daily success of the gym through your leadership support skills. Working directly with the management team, you will assist in the daily operations of the building, mentor the Instructor Staff to ensure our service exceeds  customers expectations, and verify our safety standards are being upheld at all times during your shift. Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Front Desk Operational Support: Oversee the facilities operation and flow of activities. Must possess the ability to facilitate Instructors’ workflow through the day. Understand how to prioritize responsibilities in order to maintain a productive gym environment. Coordinate with management on daily retention and acquisition activities.
  • Safety Standards: Ensure all Instructors are held to the safety standards demonstrated in training. Inspect all areas of the gym for safety and cleanliness.
  • Staff Belay Coordination: Review and coordinate Instructor Staff positioning to maximize positive experience for all customers throughout the entirety of the day.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and haul loads of up to 50 pounds for short periods of time over uneven surfaces
  • Ability to sit and suspend from a wall in a harness for extended periods of time at heights up to 40 feet, including proper use of work at height PPE according to manufacturer’s instructions
  • Ability to safely move, place, operate and stand on ladders according to manufacturer's instructions

Summer Camp Instructor

Job Description:

 Summer Rocks Climbing Camp is a 10 week climbing camp for kids ages 7-14 where camp instructors will teach climbing skills and participate in exciting camp activities such as Slacklining, Crate Stacking, Rappelling, Climbing Movies, and Tie-dye T-shirts. Our goal is to provide a thrilling experience for young climbers, both experienced and new to the sport. We are looking for camp counselors that will work with the young climbers to foster a growth in strength, technique, confidence, and friendship building.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively supervising campers ages 7-14.

  • Ability to top-rope belay a climber while also engaging with others kids through conversation.

  • Ensure camp participants compliance with Gym Policies.

  • Catering a climbing experience that suits the level of experience of the camp participant.
